A |     　　讯 据应急管理部消息，今年第18号台风“沙德尔”（强台风级）将于8月26日进入东海，并向浙闽一带沿海靠近。受其影响，浙江东南部等地部分地区有大到暴雨。    Colombo, Oct 15 (UNI) Sri Lanka is unhappy with the Indian rail carriages it has imported and says they don't meet its requirements.
The Island newspaper on Saturday said the Railway Department spent Rs 1.2 billion under an Indian credit line to import 160 railway carriages.
But they "failed to achieve any of the specified objectives", the National Audit Office said.
The Department reportedly checked only 10 carriages and all others were imported without any inspection, the report said.
"A lot of technical issues have arisen as regards the carriages which are taller, wider and longer than the ones suitable for Sri Lankan tracks, the Audit Office said.
"Some of these shortcomings have affected the speed of trains..."
